This interactive dashboard presents the results of the Demographic Dividend Effort Index (DDEI), a survey-based tool developed by the Gates Institute to measure national efforts across six key sectors, family planning, maternal and child health, education, women’s empowerment, labor market, and governance and economic institutions, in creating a favorable environment to harness a demographic dividend.

The dashboard visualizes DDEI scores collected from 440 knowledgeable informants across six sub-Saharan African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and Tanzania.
