Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA) data has been highlighted in an article by Angela Okech, a renowned journalist and former ICFP EXCELL award winner, in the Nation. The article “Population Boom: Is it Africa’s Turn for a Two-Child Limit Policy?” follows the discussions held at Malawi’s 9th African Population Conference. The conference brought together policymakers, researchers, and academics to debate whether African countries should adopt policies to reduce birth rates to replacement fertility levels.
Welcome Dr. Phil Anglewicz: WHGI’s New Leadership for Continued Innovation and Impact
Philip Anglewicz, PhD, MA, has been named the director of the William H. Gates Sr. Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Anglewicz succeeds Jose “Oying” G. Rimon II, who is retiring after serving as the Institute’s director since 2014. Anglewicz assumed his new role July 1.
