Dr. Ijadunola Inaugurated as Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University

The William H. Gates Sr. Institute (WHGI) is delighted to share that Professor Kayode Ijadunola was installed as the 4th Vice Chancellor of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria on 29 February 2024.

Dr. Ijadunola is the former head of WHGI’s Reproductive Health Center of Excellence partnership in population and reproductive health at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Professor Adesegun Fatusi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria, and Professor Akanni Akinyemi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Development), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria attended the recent inauguration.

Dr. Fatusi preceded Dr. Ijadunola as head of the PRH program (2007-2012 and 2013-2017) and Dr. Akinyemi was a visiting scholar with WHGI in 2004.  With them is Kayode’s spouse, Professor Macellina Ijadunola, also of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
