Will Ugandan Government Fulfill the USD 25 M Commitment for Family Planning Supplies?

Publication Year: 2012

Although Uganda has made significant progress in increasing the contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR), 45% of Ugandan women still have an unmet need for family planning. This means four in every 10 women in Uganda would like to stop or limit childbirth but they do not have access to contraceptives. The annual population growth rate has reached 3.4%, and Uganda has one of the highest total fertility rates in the world at 6.7 children.
