Advance Family Planning’s (AFP’s) booklet, Advocacy Wins 2009-2016, summarizes the initiative’s more than 450 advocacy wins across all levels of government since 2009. 64% of the wins increased budgets for family planning, 19% improved policies to expand contraceptive access and choice, and 17% gained visibility for family planning. Once achieved, these incremental changes – termed “advocacy wins” – demonstrate progress and accelerate momentum toward long-term goals. The user-friendly booklet compiles the wins in chronological order from each of AFP’s nine focus countries, two regional advocacy networks, ten Opportunity Fund grantees, as well as advocacy wins with a global reach.
