Innocent Grant
Graduate Research Assistant/FPNN Community ReporterInnocent Grant is a public health professional with a background in clinical medicine, gender & development studies. He is dedicated to educating adolescents and young adults on HIV/AIDS,Family Planning, sexual and reproductive health, and rights.
With over seven years of experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights for young people in Tanzania, Innocent has shared his expertise on national and global platforms, including ICFP 2018, Women Deliver, IBP/WHO, Young & Alive and the CORE Group Africa Regional Global Health Practitioners Conference.
In recognition of his impactful leadership, Innocent was selected as a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow, a prestigious program founded by President Obama for emerging African leaders and the Phil Harvey SRHR Innovation Award Winner.
Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Public Health, specializing in health education and communication, Innocent is based at the Gates Institute. He applies his expertise in program management, research, and resource mobilization to support youth engagement programs. His work focuses on ensuring meaningful youth participation at the upcoming International Conference on Family Planning and fostering intergenerational collaboration for sustainable impact.
