The Call for Abstracts for the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) 2025 is open from January 15 to March 15, 2025. Abstracts are welcomed in English, French, or Spanish from all researchers, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, and youth leaders in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and family planning.
Since its inception in 2009, ICFP has grown into a dynamic movement advancing universal family planning access, driven by collaboration, inclusivity, innovation, and scientific integrity. It is the world’s largest scientific gathering of sexual and reproductive health and rights professionals. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of global family planning and SRHR!
ICFP 2025 will take place in Bogotá, Colombia, from November 3–6, 2025, under the community-developed theme: “Equity Through Action: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All.” Join the global movement by submitting a scientific abstract, or becoming an abstract reviewer.
Get More Involved with ICFP: Become an Abstract Reviewer
ICFP is looking for abstract reviewers with training and/or experience in conducting research, program implementation, and/or advocacy efforts who can evaluate submitted abstracts for significance, methodological rigor, and appropriate findings and interpretation. The number of abstracts per reviewer will depend on the number of reviewers and number of submitted abstracts per track. The ICFP 2025 Scientific Subcommittee will aim for no more than 20 abstracts per reviewer. Prompt review of abstracts within 21 days of receipt of each abstract in the review portal will be required in order to keep to the determined timeline.
The deadline to sign up to be an abstract reviewer is 1 March, 2025. For more information and to sign up, check out this page.
Navigating Abstract Submission for ICFP
The ICFP Scientific Subcommittee will host abstract support webinars in English, French, and Spanish, separately, to provide guidance to early-career researchers, program implementers, or advocates on how to craft a compelling abstract. Whether you’re new to conference submissions or looking to refine your approach, these sessions will equip you with practical tips and actionable insights. The webinars will take place 29-30 January.
