WHGI Launches Response to Unprecedented Attacks on SRHR

Feb 18, 2025

Recent U.S. foreign assistance cuts and political rollbacks threaten the progress made in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), risking the health and well-being of millions worldwide. This is not just about access to services; it is about the dismantling of a global movement for equity, gender rights, and bodily autonomy.

WHGI is Mobilizing for Impact

In less than a month, the William H. Gates Sr. Institute (WHGI) will host a convening in Washington, D.C. under the banner of “The Future of Family Planning” (more details coming soon). This event will bring together leaders from diverse sectors of the SRHR field to address critical topics and to chart a well-informed, collective path forward that galvanizes the community and shapes ICFP 2025 under the unifying theme of “Equity Through Action: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All.”

Help Us Shape the Future of Family Planning

Tell Us What Matters Most

In preparation for this convening and in the lead-up to ICFP 2025 this 3–6 November in Bogotá, Colombia, WHGI is conducting a needs assessment of the SRHR professional community to ensure our response is community-driven and effective.

We would like to hear about what you need most during this crisis. Your anonymous input will be shared with a wide-range of representatives at the upcoming convening, and used to communicate the needs of the SRHR community to key stakeholders—including donors.

Please take a few moments to take this brief survey and share more about how WHGI can support the SRHR community through a coordinated and strategic response.

Note: French and Spanish versions of the survey are coming soon.
