With just over three months until the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), I’m more excited than ever to welcome the SRHR community to Pattaya City this November.
The 2022 ICFP Secretariat, and all our co-hosts, partners, and sponsors are working hard to make our vision for the world’s largest gathering of SRHR and FP experts a reality.
On 14-17 November, the 2022 ICFP will bring together thousands of global policymakers and researchers, women and girls, young people and family planning advocates from over 125 countries in Pattaya City, Thailand for the sixth ICFP.
The record-breaking 3,100+ scientific abstracts submitted to the 2022 ICFP illustrate a growing global interest in reproductive health and the many ways it promotes human and planetary health, improves education, and builds strong economies.
This year’s scientific program represents the strongest body of new family planning research presented at ICFP yet.
The 2022 ICFP will be a crucial platform to hold leaders accountable to their family planning commitments and to ensure that expanding access to voluntary contraceptive information and services remains a priority for policymakers, donors, the private sector and civil society: an element that is relevant now more than ever following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the United State’s Supreme Court Decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
ICFP has worked to highlight these issues through our Community Action Campaigns, and will share the latest research and innovations at this year’s conference and on the ICFP LIVE stage.
