Aanuoluwatimileyin (Timi) Ajayi
Program SpecialistAanuoluwatimileyin Ajayi, MD, MPH, is a Program Specialist at the William H. Gates Sr. Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. With a focus on health policy systems, strategic planning, and program implementation, Timi drives initiatives that improve the accessibility and affordability of healthcare for underserved populations.
In his role and as a Youth Sub-committee Co-chair, Timi leads youth-focused elements of the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), the largest family planning-focused scientific meeting globally. He leads key intergenerational engagements, including the mentorship program and the Scientific Writing Program, as well as various elements of the youth summit. His work ensures the amplification of youth voices and the alignment of priorities across diverse stakeholders to advance reproductive health equity at both global and regional levels.
Before joining the Institute full-time, Timi worked as a Graduate Assistant during his Master of Public Health program at Johns Hopkins, where he specialized in both Health Policy & Management and Epidemiology & Biostatistics. His diverse background also includes working as a Physician in Nigeria and leadership roles with UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited and the 100K Club. These roles saw him champion people-centered initiatives, especially women and children, that improve their access to healthcare and education. Timi's work continues to center equity-driven strategies for advancing population and reproductive health outcomes globally.
