Demographic Futures Lead
Dr. Apoorva Jadhav is a demographer and an expert in family planning and reproductive health with two decades of experience in evidence-based policy formulation. She is currently a Senior Fellow at the Population Reference Bureau and a Non-Resident Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's South Asia Program. Previously, as Senior Demographer at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), she was the agency’s chief demographic expert, providing strategic oversight for demographic surveys and analyses and shaping policy on gender and reproductive rights. Her work centers on translating fertility, aging, and migration trends into strategic frameworks for global governance. She holds a Ph.D. in demography from the University of Pennsylvania, an MPH from Emory University, and a BA in public health from Johns Hopkins University.
