Each year on 26 September, our global community celebrates World Contraception Day.
This annual worldwide campaign centers around a vision where every pregnancy is wanted. Launched in 2007, WCD’s mission is to improve awareness of contraception and to enable young people to make informed choices on their sexual and reproductive health.
Gates Institute was thrilled to host another annual event in commemoration of World Contraception Day, featuring young leaders and their groundbreaking solutions to today’s family planning challenges.
The 120 Under 40 Ingenuity Fund was launched to provide funding to youth leaders for creative and innovative solutions to family planning and reproductive health. It aims to galvanize winners to think big and bold about family planning challenges.
Since then, the Ingenuity Fund has supported 15 groundbreaking projects across 10 countries. Many of these winners will be presenting their ingenious ideas at the sixth International Conference on Family Planning this November.
